Addy snapper wins top gong for inspiring photos

GEELONG Advertiser photograph­er Alison Wynd has taken home a national photograph­y award for her series called Young at Heart.

Wynd won the Older People Speak Out regional award for her photos depicting older Australian­s in a positive manner.

The week-long series featured a collection of our region’s older athletes ranging from Geelong’s oldest speedway driver to the 74year-old who took up ocean water swimming after a hip replacemen­t and the budgie-smuggler wearing action man who shunned bowls
