Job vacancies still climbing
THE number of job vacancies in Australia has continued to climb, dominated by the private sector.
Employers were seeking to fill 210,300 positions in November, up 2.7 per cent from August in seasonally adjusted terms, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Job vacancies in the private sector rose a seasonally adjusted 3.8 per cent from August, to 192,000, led by retail, mining, manufacturing, administration and support services.
