South Geelong sex shop raided
THE owner of a South Geelong sex shop has been arrested and charged after police raided his store and allegedly seized suspected illicit drugs.
Detectives descended on Naughty Gifts on Wood St late Tuesday, arresting owner Phil Kelly.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rod Lloyd said a 47-year-old man from South Geelong had since been charged with allegedly trafficking cannabis and possessing ecstasy, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.
“Police will allege the drugs were being trafficked from that business,” Sen-Sgt Lloyd said. “Cannabis was located in a garbage bag in a frozen condition along with powders and capsules.
“He was remanded overnight and (yesterday) bailed to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on March 7.”
