Thieves take car keys, power tools

HOMES in Newtown and Co­rio had bur­glar­ies with com­put­ers and jew­ellery tar­geted.

In Gee­long West of­fend­ers stole ve­hi­cle keys as well as com­put­ers and jew­ellery, while cash and jew­ellery was stolen in Torquay.

Power tools and build­ing ma­te­ri­als were taken in Mount Mo­riac and Charlemont.

Jew­ellery was stolen from St Leonards and power tools were taken from Highton. IN Gee­long of­fend­ers have hit a chemist, depart­ment store and re­tailer.

A church and re­tailer in Grovedale were tar­geted.

In Break­wa­ter cash and a com­puter were stolen from a busi­ness and cash and credit cards were taken from a fac­tory.

Build­ing ma­te­ri­als were stolen from a con­struc­tion site in Highton and from a re­tailer in South Gee­long.

Com­put­ers were stolen from a fast-food out­let in Drys­dale.

A school in Por­tar­ling­ton and li­censed premises in New­comb were also hit. VE­HI­CLES were stolen from drive­ways or homes in Co­rio and Nor­lane.

A car was taken from a shed in Mount Mo­riac.

A North Gee­long car sa­le­yard was also tar­geted.

A Holden stolen from Nor­lane was re­cov­ered in Fyans­ford, while an­other was found in Lara. A Volk­swa­gen stolen from Gee­long West was lo­cated in Lovely Banks. CASH was stolen from cars in Torquay and Co­rio.

In Moolap a lap­top was taken along with a purse.

Cars in Co­rio were tar­geted mainly at the shop­ping cen­tre.

Cars were also taken from Gee­long fore­shore.

In Gee­long West and Torquay ve­hi­cles were in­ter­fered with parked in the street and drive­ways.

Num­ber­plates were taken from cars parked at homes in Gee­long West, at a Co­rio shop­ping cen­tre and in the street, at North Gee­long carpark and the train sta­tion in Waurn Ponds. IN Co­rio dam­age in­cluded graf­fiti at the train sta­tion, a ve­hi­cle in the street and a win­dow at the shop­ping com­plex.

In Gee­long a win­dow at a milk bar was dam­aged and there was graf­fiti at the train sta­tion carpark. Ve­hi­cles parked in the street were also dam­aged.

Other dam­ages in­cluded homes, in­clud­ing one under con­struc­tion in Nor­lane.

Min­istry of Hous­ing premises in New­comb and Nor­lane were also dam­aged.

There was graf­fiti at a ware­house in North Gee­long, at the train sta­tion in Lit­tle River and an open space in Torquay.
