There is a strong Geelong element in the musical, with rising stars and among the 36 young performers will make up the rotating cast of students.
“I’m so excited that so many kids are involved with School of Rock,” Lehpamer said.
“It would have been my dream show as a kid, to be able to sing and act and dance and play my violin.”
Lloyd Webber said the different line-ups of talent would deliver a fresh dy- namic each night. “A lot of people don’t realise the kids play absolutely everything live,” he said.
“We’ve got a really great Australian cast, and what will be interesting is that you will have three different casts of students … who will each form their own little rock band.”
