COURT SET­TLES DOP­ING CASE

The Court of Ar­bi­tra­tion for Sport has ac­cepted a set­tle­ment be­tween Rus­sian bob­sleigh ath­lete Nadezhda Sergeeva and the gov­ern­ing IBSF in an anti-dop­ing case from the 2018 Win­ter Olympic Games.

Sergeeva was disqual­i­fied from the twowoman bob event in Fe­bru­ary in PyeongChang, where she fin­ished 12th, af­ter test­ing pos­i­tive for trimetazi­dine.

She has been given an eight-month ban dat­ing from her pos­i­tive test which will ex­pire on Oc­to­ber 22.

Three other ath­letes also failed dop­ing tests at the Win­ter Games.
