Geraldton Guardian - - News -

City of Greater Geraldton councillors unanimously voted in favour of adopting a local planning policy at their ordinary council meeting last Tuesday.

The Geraldton city centre revitalisation plan provides short, medium and long-term aspirations and strategies to enable the city centre to “move toward success”, according to briefing notes.

The plan aims to guide future development, focusing on people, places, infrastructure and the economy.

Cr Steve Douglas made the motion and said the revitalisation plan would help create a vibrant city.

“We want the City to evolve,” he said.

“This says ‘we’re open for business, come talk to us and see what we can do’.”
