Geraldton residents are invited to hear a visiting children’s choir from Africa perform at a free performance tomorrow.

All members of the Watoto Children’s Choir are orphans living in Watoto villages in Uganda.

Spokeswoman Cathy Beauchamp said Watoto Children’s Choirs had travelled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s orphans and widows.

“To date, the choir has toured six continents and performed to enthralled audiences in schools, retirement homes, churches, Parliaments, State houses and royal palaces,” she said.

“Each child in the Watoto Chil- dren’s Choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents and now lives in a Watoto village.

“The experience of travelling in a choir helps the children to develop confidence and boldness, as well as broadening their worldview.”

The choir will perform at Sun City Christian Centre, Karloo, tomorrow at 6.30pm.

Watoto singers Esther, Vanessa and Miriam. The choir will perform a free concert in Geraldton tomorrow.
