On the eve of many sum­mer sports get­ting into full swing, triathlon and sail­ing took cen­trestage on Sun­day in Ger­ald­ton.

The Ger­ald­ton Yacht Club held their open­ing meet­ing of the 2017-18 sea­son, with the tra­di­tional sail pass and Pa­trons Tro­phy in­vi­ta­tional event ea­gerly looked on by spec­ta­tors — while fur­ther along the fore­shore at St Ge­orge’s Beach, the Ger­ald­ton Triathlon Club held its first event of the cam­paign.
