Mon­go­lian tra­di­tions

A troupe of 24 per­form­ers will help Ger­ald­ton res­i­dents cel­e­brate the Lu­nar New Year with a spe­cial per­for­mance at Queens Park The­atre.

On Fe­bru­ary 25 at 3pm, cel­e­brate the Year of the Dog with a spe­cial per­for­mance by In­ner Mon­go­lia Arts Uni­ver­sity.

Per­form­ers will show­case cen­turies of Mon­go­lian tra­di­tion and folk­lore in a show in­spired by the vast grass­lands and rich cul­ture of their home­land.

The show is also a rare op­por­tu­nity to ex­pe­ri­ence the fa­mous Mon­go­lian Long Song, Morin Khurr (horse-headed fid­dle) and Khoomei (throat singing) in per­son.
