A 25-year-old man awaiting sentencing on 20 charges, including multiple burglaries and thefts, receiving stolen goods, and trespassing, has been fined for several offences but remains behind bars.

Zeb Henry Sharp was sentenced in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of carrying an article to cause fear, stealing, and possession of MDMA and meth.

The “article” in question was an axe, the court heard, while the theft took place at Wonthella IGA, where Sharp stole anti-wrinkle cream worth $28 in February.

The possession charges related to three MDMA pills and 0.1g of meth.

Sharp was fined $800 and ordered to pay $205 in costs, as well as compensation to the supermarket.

He was remanded in custody at Casuarina Prison to reappear in the same court on January 29.
