DID YOU KNOW ‘ SLEDGEHAMMER’ WAS GOING TO BE A BIG HIT?

Camilla: At first we actually weren’t enthusiastic about it being our next single. But as time went on, we loved it and it’s my jam right now! It’s so funny, some songs you think wouldn’t make the cut end up being really big!

WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING WITH MEGHAN TRAINOR AND RAPPER TYGA ON YOUR ALBUM?

Lauren: Well with Meghan we’re actually label-mates! We’ve always talked to her about the music business and just as girls, we relate to her a lot. Dinah: The Tyga collaboration was not meant to happen... he was thrown in at the last minute! They thought a rapper would sound good in the song and the next day we were listening to it and we just heard his voice!

HOW DO YOU HANDLE IT WHEN YOU HEAR FAKE RUMOURS ABOUT THE GROUP?

Camilla: We ignore it. You can’t look for it because if you do it’s terrible. So I think it’s best to stay away from it and don’t go looking for what people are saying. There’s a lot of good stuff and that’ll blow up your ego, which is a bad thing, and then there’s the bad stuff that’ll just end up hurting you. I always say, ‘If you don’t know me personally, don’t take it personally.’

IF THE GROUP DISAGREES ON SOMETHING, HOW DO YOU WORK IT OUT?

Camilla: Majority rules. Lauren: It’s a five-piece girl group so obviously there are a lot of different opinions about what our direction should be so it’s just easier to do majority rules. Either way someone is going to be unhappy. Dinah: Rock, paper, scissors!

HOW DO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF WHEN YOU’RE ON TOUR?

Camilla: We have a really great team and we’re all really close to our tour manager. And just talking to friends and family because sometimes you can get so lost in this world, and you might get disconnected from everyone.
