Taylor Swift and her mum Andrea are really close. Taylor even wrote a song about Andrea – it’s called ‘TheBestDay’ and it’s on her Fearless album. “’ TheBest Day’ is a song that I wrote without telling my mum,” Taylor explains. “I wrote it in the summertime, and I recorded it secretly too! I played it for her on Christmas Eve and she was crying her eyes out.” Tip! Try writing your mum a special song and playing it for her! Or, if you’re not musically-inclined, you could write her a poem, paint her a picture, or bake her a cake to let her know how much she means to you.

Ariana and her mum Joan are life two peas in a pod. They’re both obsessed with social media and even take selfies together when they’re hanging out! Recently, Ariana won a Women In Music award and gave this sweet shout-out to her mum… “I want to thank my mama for teaching me to work hard – and that behind every successful woman is herself!” Tip! Does your mum know how much you care about her? Plan a Mother’s Day meal for your family and then get each kid in your fam to stand up and say why they love Mum. Every mum deserves a special shoutout on Mother’s Day!

“It’s a tradition in my family – we always do gifts and handmade cards,” Bridgit Mendlers spills on her Mother’s Day plans. Bridgit and her mum Leah share lots of similar interests: they both study at university, and they both love gardening! Bridgit took up gardening because it’s one of her mum’s favourite hobbies and now they can do it together.

Tip! What does your mum love to do? Try spending Mother’s Day doing her favourite activity – it could be baking, riding bikes, swimming, dancing, anything! Even if you think it’s insanely boring, give it a go. You never know, you might discover a hidden talent!
