Tough spot

Girlfriend - - GF FEELS -

I have a lot of moles all over my face, neck and body, and I’m super self-conscious about it. I know when people meet me that’s the first thing they see. I’m 15 and

I don’t feel like guys ever want to kiss or ask me out!

My family always tells me to try and be happy with the way I am, but I’m wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of them professionally.

Firstly, you are in good company – some of the world’s most beautiful women have moles on their faces. Try googling pics of Natalie Portman, Rachel McAdams or Blake Lively, to name a few. Usually the first thing people notice when they meet someone is their selfconfidence and smile. So, your family has a good point. Secondly, the problem with having moles removed is that it can leave a scar and possibly create a mark that you find even more confronting. If you really can’t deal with your moles, you could get an opinion from a reputable plastic surgeon about the sort of scarring you might expect. Talk to your GP and please don’t rush into surgery.
