You might bleed (but not everyone does)

Girlfriend - - THE DL -

You’re told to expect a lotta blood when you have penetrative sex for the first time because that’s when your hymen breaks. But not everyone bleeds! The hymen is different in every woman; some can have very little while some have more. “The hymen is basically a ring of tissue that surrounds the opening of the vagina a bit like an elastic hair scrunchy,” says Dr Stewart. “It can be stretched or torn during sex and cause a little bleeding but can also be stretched during sport or using tampons.”
