WHAT CALLAWAY SAYS:
The Chrome Soft was introduced to combine distance and control with a high level of soft feel unheard of in a tour ball. The new Chrome Soft X aims to give players a different performance choice. Multiple professional wins have been claimed by players using a Chrome Soft golf ball.
The Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X are both four-piece constructions, consisting of Callaway’s two-layer Dual SoftFast Core for faster ball speed and distance with the long clubs and control in the short clubs, a spin-regulating SubMantle and ultra-soft urethane cover, as well as flight-extending Hex aerodynamics.
The differences in performance come from Chrome Soft X’s firmer core and cover combination, which promote ball speed off the tee, increased spin through the bag and a piercing, workable flight.
“Chrome Soft is designed to promote a high, straight, distance-enhancing trajectory,” Callaway Senior Director of Golf Ball R&D, Dave Bartels said. “In Chrome Soft X we wanted to create a ball that does everything Chrome Soft does, but with a piercing trajectory and more workable ball flight desired by many Tour professionals and elite amateurs.”
Both Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X are available in white and yellow. For more information contact Callaway on 1800 217 777 or visit, www.callawaygolf.com.au
