WIN­NING SCORE: 15 un­der, 273. DEFEATED: Fel­low Amer­i­can Tony Finau by two shots. DEFIN­ING MOMENTS: Steele, the de­fend­ing cham­pion, en­tered the fi­nal round two shots be­hind Tour rookie Tyler Dun­can, who got off to a dis­as­trous start with five bo­gies on the front nine knock­ing him out of con­tention.

Af­ter mak­ing the turn in three un­der with­out drop­ping a shot, Steele held the out­right lead at 15 un­der par be­fore the 34-year-old ran into trou­ble at the par-4 12th hole where he made bo­gey, drop­ping him into a tie for the lead with Finau.

Steele off­set two bo­gies with ral­ly­ing birdies at the par-5 16th and 18th holes to pull away from Finau, who also ran into trou­ble at the 14th mak­ing a dou­ble bo­gey. WITH THIS VIC­TORY… : • Steele’s win is his third on the PGA Tour af­ter claim­ing
