Start by hit­ting some half-shots or pitches. Make your reg­u­lar back­swing, but feel your down­swing is ini­ti­ated by your lead hip ro­tat­ing and clear­ing – a move that be­comes much eas­ier with that flared lead foot. Al­low this ro­ta­tion to pull your chest and arms down and through the ball.
