I have been using a steroid cream on my face to treat eczema, but now I have a worse rash around my mouth. What should I do?

Good Health (Australia) - - Ask The Experts -

Strong steroid creams used on the face can lead to an overgrowth of a small mite called demodex that can cause a rash with little red pustules. To cure it, you’ll need to stop using the steroid. Your GP can also prescribe antibiotics for this. Within a week there will be an improvement, but often it takes a month to clear up completely.
