“I do some­thing my mum used to do when I was grow­ing up with my two sis­ters – I pre­pare ‘tast­ing plates’ for the girls be­fore din­ner each night, and I’ll cut up car­rots, tomato, avo, cu­cum­ber and they’ll hap­pily eat away at that while I’m cook­ing their main meal, and I’ll eat veges then too. I feel very con­fi­dent they’re get­ting what they need from those raw veges, and I’ll cut up fruit for them af­ter din­ner. So in terms of their main meal, I don’t sweat it so much if they don’t eat it all or they don’t eat a lot of it.”
