Have a lunchtime walk. Dis­cover a new sand­wich bar, head to a post box fur­ther away… Climb 15 flights of stairs through­out the day. Pace up and down while you’re on the phone.

Play with the kids: swing ball, tag, hide and seek… You’ll be amazed at what a mini work­out this is.

Rak­ing leaves, mow­ing the lawn, weed­ing and re­pot­ting make for a great lit­tle ex­er­cise ses­sion.

While do­ing your shop­ping, en­sure you take lots of steps (and even con­sider bas­kets in­stead of a trol­ley) so that you’re walk­ing and reach­ing for 20 min­utes min­i­mum.
