What inspired you to create Dose & Co?

After I had my daughter I suffered from extreme post-partum hair loss and tried almost everything to help my hair grow. The one supplement that worked was collagen powder. However, many of the powders on the market were full of fillers, artificial flavours and colours and sugars and many of the brands on the market are expensive. Collagen is an incredible supplement and I think it’s important that it’s sold at an affordable price so everyone can reap the benefits.

Why did you incorporat­e collagen in 10,000mg doses?

I noticed the benefits when I used that dose myself. This daily dose has been clinically proven to reduce the rate at which our own collagen breaks down, improve skin hydration and healing. Ensuring the Dose & Co collagen range has 10,000mg of collagen per serving is why people get results fast from our products.

What is the difference between bovine and marine collagen?

Bovine collagen is a by-product of the cattle industry and marine collagen is a by-product of the fishing industry. Both types of collagen help support hair, skin, nails, joints and ligaments but we find bovine is more popular. It comes down to personal preference.

Dose & Co products are free from any artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. How did you get them to taste so good?

There is nothing worse than spending money on a supplement only for it to be hard to take due to the taste. We worked with experts and engineers to perfect the taste and we are so proud of how delicious the range is.

What is the best way for people to add collagen to their diet?

The collagen creamer, made using bovine collagen and coconut milk powder, is our most popular product. Adding it to coffee or tea makes it extra creamy.

Why did you introduce dairy creamers to the range?

Since living in America, I noticed people adding creamers to their coffee and tea. However, they often contain palm oil, sugars and artificial flavours. I decided to create one that tasted good with no artificial flavours or colours and had the added benefit of collagen. Our dairy-free creamer has a coconut base and, after many requests, we introduced a dairy creamer made using premium New Zealand ingredient­s.

Who can consume collagen?

People of all ages can take collagen. It can help everyone from children with eczema or psoriasis, to older adults needing support for their joint, muscle and ligament health.
