Comfort and joy

“I’d describe my style as organised maximalism, with lots of art. I’m terrified of blank walls. A home should be somewhere you want to hang out as much as possible because it’s so comfortable and enjoyable. I love when my house is tidy and everything has a place to go but I also love having games, books, music and craft projects surrounding me. Our children have definitely inherited our collecting and decorating genes. Betsy changes her room up at least once a month. I especially like lamps and ambient low-level lighting for the evening. Mood lighting has such a big impact on changing the way a room looks and feels at night. My current obsession is plants. I just got a banana tree and I‘m very excited at the prospect of growing more edibles.”
