And then we learnt the guys be­hind lux­ury sneaker la­bel Ci­pher re­fused to pro­vide kicks to rap­per Chris Brown be­cause his way­ward ways (read: fists) didn’t align with the brand. The brain­child of for­mer Lon­don fi­nancier Gregg Murfin, each pair takes two days to craft by Tus­can ar­ti­sans known to also work for Bal­main and Dior. Lit­tle sur­prise, then, that each col­lec­tion is ex­tremely ex­clu­sive. Also keep an eye out for the la­bel’s planned push into men’s ac­ces­sories, with a ru­moured bag col­lec­tion to drop late this year. planet-ci­
