LOUIS VUITTON DOES DENIM
DESIGNER KIM JONES HELPS BRING SOME FRENCH SARTORIAL FLAIR TO YOUR NEW FAVOURITE PAIR OF JEANS.
If you’re anything like us, you’ve been going to Louis Vuitton to get your complete 15-piece monogrammed luggage set for years – it’s a no-brainer. Now, though, the French fashion house has expanded its already extensive repertoire – which includes clothing, shoes, bags, watches and writing instruments – to launch a new denim range. And, not to undersell things, we’re pretty excited. British designer Kim Jones has made no secret of his love for denim, calling it the “key to any wardrobe”. Now, he’s turning that passion into a collection of jeans that combines raw Japanese denim and luxe European fabrics. Presented in a range of washes and three key fits – slim stretch, slim classic and classic regular – they’re available online and in selected stores from this month. New colours will also be available each season. LV’S also releasing a five-piece seasonal capsule collection, inspired by details in the Louis Vuitton archive. Think rose gold detailing, handmade treatments and buttons with horn inlays. But you’ll need to hurry – each style will be available in a limited edition of 101 pairs, the street number of Louis Vuitton’s iconic Champs-elysées store. Obviously. Louis Vuitton permanent and seasonal ranges start at $765; ‘Heritage Capsule’ collection styles start at $1940; au.louisvuitton.com
