THE SOCIAL SET

GQ (Australia) - - TASTE & TRAVEL -

“I was asked the other day if I’m fine with people taking photos of their food in my restaurants. Of course I fucking am. People travel all over the world to have amazing culinary experiences, and if they want to take a photo of a dish, who are we to turn around and say, ‘Don’t take fucking pictures’? “Look, social media is an incredible marketing tool. That’s the good side. And if something that we’ve done wrong is spread on social media, it’s a right kick up the arse. But chefs should quit bitching and welcome that... they need to get off the wall about being exposed and understand it can be there to help get things right. It’s too big, you’re either with it or you don’t matter.”
