UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES AND LEARNING FROM AFAR

As the founder of entrepreneurial education outfit The Entourage, BRW ‘Young Rich’ list player Jack Delosa understands what can be achieved by imparting knowledge. “The most rewarding part of business for me is enabling growth in human beings – it’s more rewarding than the progress, awards or financial gains.” In regard to professional growth, the 29-year-old discusses the ‘universal principles’ that can easily be adopted by engaging with those who’ve gone before. And he’s adamant that doesn’t necessarily mean a direct mentorship. “Mentorships can take on several forms – everything from sitting down and engaging with someone who has some been-there-done-that experiences… and span out to studying businesses, icons or individual movements that have come before.” It’s here he points to the accessibility of books, the internet and podcasts. “This kind of information and knowledge is absolutely available to everybody at any time – you can be sitting at home on a Sunday afternoon and watch a 60-minute interview with one of the most impressive entrepreneurs on the planet, say [Tesla’s] Elon Musk, and understand what it takes to build a successful business. “It means you’re able to pick up some really good-quality, practical principles and direction that can set you up for success.”
