Sitting here reading GQ, the morning of my wedding day – my suit is laid out, my shoes polished, I have selected the right watch, and I’ve written my speech. I think I’m ready. As I read your ‘25 Places to Eat Drink Travel Explore’ feature, I saw number 1

GQ (Australia) - - INSIDE GQ - BEN, VIA EMAIL

Reading GQ the morning of your wedding? It’s enough to warm our cold, dead hearts. We’ve already locked in Chris Hemsworth as our Man of the Year, but we have to say you’re a close second, Ben.

I’ve been reading fashion magazines from around the globe for a while, but I have to say the quality of GQ Australia, the write-ups, the topics covered and the people interviewed is absolutely top class. Probably the distinct feature that sets it apart is the fashion covered in the mag is actually wearable, even for a conservative banker like me. The more I read, the more I can’t wait for the next edition to come out.

Yet another beardie on the cover? Is GQ Australia just for hipsters now?

JIM, VIA TWITTER

Good spot! Don’t forget to pick up our next issue, for GQ’S roundup of the best free-range, fair-trade, single-origin, cold-brew, fixed-gear typewriters. Not to be missed. Great cover @Gqaustralia! And loving that leather biker!

@DAPPERLOUNGE, VIA INSTAGRAM

Glad you liked it. The jacket is courtesy of Gucci.

I tuned in to see GQ Australia on that new ABC show Man Up and I couldn’t stop watching. Such gripping TV – and good to see you signing on for a great cause.

Thanks Trevor – it was an honour to take part. For those who haven’t yet seen Gus Worland’s powerful three-part series about male suicide, do yourself a favour and head to manup.org.au.

Really enjoyed the Hacksaw Ridge feature. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Mel Gibson, but he seems like a guy who’s genuinely trying to make amends. Making great Aussie films doesn’t forgive what he’s done – at least it’s a start.

Jesus. Milo Yiannopoulos. What a dick.

DAVE, VIA TWITTER

Your words, not ours, Dave. (But you’re right.)

I absolutely love Tom Ford and it was so good to hear from the man himself. Such an interesting guy!
