THE BOOTS

If we said the latest Adidas ‘Nemeziz’ boots made you play like Lionel Messi, we’d be telling fibs. But saying they’ve been built for you and the most agile football players in the game is within the realms of truth. The revolutionary ‘Torsion Tapes’ tech delivers the ultimate fit, while a dual-lock collar secures the ankle in place to enable explosive change of direction. (NB: explosive change of direction not included.) Available in ‘Stadium’, ‘Cage’ and ‘Street’ versions, which sounds far more edgy than it’s meant to. THE TRAINER

Dubbed ‘the world’s most travelled fitness expert’, we defy anyone not to gain fitspiration from cheeky Brit Ross Edgley. Not only is he an absolute giant of a man with the biggest grin (and rig) out there, Edgley is known for dreaming up the most far-fetched challenges, then going ahead and nailing them. Hit up @ROSSEDGLEY on Instagram and next thing you know, you’ll be contemplating a triathlon while carrying a tree. Genuinely.

THE GADGET

These days, phones can do pretty much anything. So we saluted Garmin when it announced a 360-degree 5.7K camera, because no phone captures next-level video footage quite like the ‘VIRB 360’. Kayaking down river rapids or mountain biking through rough outback terrain, the 4K ’Spherical Stabilisation‘ makes all footage smooth and steady. Our best advice to maximise camera use is novel – read the manual. $

THE KIT

These Texta-like Ausfit Torsion Bars are less for the purist monochrome lovers and more for fitness junkies who delight in colour coordination. Coming in set weights and lengths, they are perfect for all manner of training – be it home gyms, outdoor training and bootcamps – while still ass i building grip str 4fit

THE EVENT

Usain Bolt is to hang up his spikes in London this August, so if bidding farewell to the greatest athlete of all time isn’t reason enough to tune into the IAAF World Championships, we don’t know what is. A handful of Aussie medal hopefuls provide further incentive: Kurtis Marschall a name to watch in the pole vault, and fingers crossed for a repeat of Dane Bird-smith’s Rio Olympics heroics in the 20km walk (not to mention the post-event interview, too).
