In June, Mr Porter in­tro­duced The Lux­ury Watch Guide. Its re­cent take-over by lux­ury goods com­pany Richemont means most of its watch­mak­ing fra­ter­nity (think Montblanc, Pi­aget, IWC) are now on sale on the site. We’re es­pe­cially thank­ful, though, for the hard­erto-get brands be­ing brought to Aus­tralian shores, namely Ressence, Bre­mont, No­mos Glashütte, Oris and Zenith (pic­tured). “We now have 17 lux­ury watch brands avail­able on the site with four com­ing this year and more lined up next year,” says Mr Porter’s MD, Toby Bate­man. “And with men spend­ing 65 per cent of their dis­pos­able in­come on lux­ury on­line, the ben­e­fit of dig­i­tal is we’re able to de­liver cus­tomers a con­sis­tent prod­uct in­for­ma­tion com­mu­ni­ca­tion.
