Clin­ics part of Wild­cats tour

The Perth Wild­cats are com­ing to town as they em­bark on a tour of re­gional WA dur­ing the 2017 NBL off­sea­son.

The Wild­cats will be vis­it­ing Katan­ning and Nar­ro­gin in June, and will be hold­ing af­ter-school bas­ket­ball clin­ics for chil­dren aged 6-12.

Wild­cats vice-cap­tain Greg Hire said he and his team­mates were look­ing for­ward to the road trip.

“We’re based in Perth, but re­ally, we rep­re­sent West­ern Aus­tralia as a whole,” he said.

“It’s go­ing to be great to meet a lot of peo­ple who are un­able to get to Wild­cats games as eas­ily as peo­ple in the city.”

As well as stops in Nar­ro­gin and Katan­ning, the Wild­cats will visit Al­bany, Mt Barker and sev­eral other lo­ca­tions on their 11-town tour.

The Katan­ning clinic will be held at the Katan­ning Recre­ation Cen­tre on June 13 from 4-6pm, and the Nar­ro­gin clinic will be at the Nar­ro­gin Recre­ation Cen­tre on June 14 from 4-6pm.
