Australian Wool Innovation have welcomed home Jane Littlejohn after she spent a year tackling the nation’s wild dog problem.

Dr Littlejohn, who managed the National Wild Dog Action Plan, was announced as the new general manager of research earlier this week, replacing Dr Paul Swan.

She has previously managed onfarm research at AWI.

“After a thorough search for suitable candidates for this significant role, I am delighted to welcome back Dr Littlejohn who is well known to woolgrowers,” AWI chief executive Stuart McCullough said.

“Dr Littlejohn has a strong and proven track record in managing this portfolio and delivering on-farm results for the woolgrowers we serve.

“She re-joins AWI with the company in a strong position, midway through its current strategic plan and the wool industry in general enjoying renewed optimism.”

In congratulating Dr Littlejohn, Mr McCullough also thanked Dr Swan for his 16 years of service to AWI.

“Paul is leaving the role but not the industry,” he said.

“Dr Swan is looking to change gears in life and we look forward to his expertise continuing to help drive the industry forward in other ways.

“He has been a highly valued member of this company for a long time and I wish him all the very best for the future.”
