Tam­bellup 1 were the big win­ners in round 2 of the Cen­tral Great South­ern Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion men’s com­pe­ti­tion when they downed Woodanilling 2 in con­vinc­ing fash­ion.

Jared White and Tom Kempin both dou­bled up for Tam­bellup with sin­gle goals to Brad Holmes, Josh Holmes and Lach­lan Brad­shaw.

Josh Holmes picked up the votes for best on ground.

Woodanilling 1 have bounced back from their round 1 de­feat to Ko­jonup, 5-0.

Best-on-ground Rick Wise scored twice for Woodanilling with sin­gles to his brother Kurt, Wayne Shack­ley and Nic Slade.

Zeke Page was best for Ko­jonup.

Katan­ning con­tinue their win­ning ways with a 4-1 vic­tory over Tam­bellup 2. The goals were shared around with Zak Hat­field, Stephen Bed­son, David Gar­diner and David Arm­strong all scor­ing one apiece.

Lachaln Brad­shaw scored Tam­bellup 2’s only goal as Katan­ning’s Will Tan claimed the votes for best on ground.

In the women’s com­pe­ti­tion, Katan­ning took their first points for the sea­son with a 4-2 win over Broome­hill.

Donna Woithe scored two as Katan­ning team­mates Carly Vartesi and best-on-ground Cat Marciniak each scored one. Woodanilling made it two wins from two games with a vic­tory over Young Guns.

Young Guns’ Leah Hard­ing­ham was voted best on ground.

Tam­bellup won a tight con­test against Ko­jonup, 2-1, with Jess McPart­land and Emily Holmes each scor­ing for the win­ning side while Shaydn Gard­ner scored Ko­jonup’s only goal.
