Broome­hill fall to lead­ers

Tam­bellup 1 have con­tin­ued their un­beaten streak in the men’s Cen­tral Great South­ern Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion, beat­ing Broome­hill in round 4 of the com­pe­ti­tion.

Lachy De­war scored twice for Tam­bellup, while sin­gles were scored by Matt Groves and best-on­ground Josh Holmes.

Jay­don Tay­lor was the lone goal scorer for Broome­hill.

Zeke Page and Re­gan Cole each scored one goal for Ko­jonup in their 2-1 win, while Mick White slot­ted Tam­bellup 2’s only goal.

Ko­jonup’s Brooks Evans picked up best on ground votes ahead of Zeke Page and Re­gan Cole.

The win is Ko­jonup’s sec­ond from three games as they strive to stay in touch with the lad­der lead­ers.

The fi­nal match of the day was a tight con­test be­tween sec­ond­placed Katan­ning and third-placed Woodanilling.

Stephen Bed­son, David Arm­strong and Steve Mar­tins all scored a goal each for Katan­ning in the 3-3 draw with Woodanilling 2.

Chris Quar­ter­maine, Graham Treloar and Steve Con­ning scored for Woodanilling 2 as their team­mate Lance Mudg­way picked up the votes for best on ground.

Woodanilling 1 had the bye.
