Rains create a sticky situation for farmer

Great Southern Herald - - FRONT PAGE - Saskia Adysti

A Kojonup farmer sent this picture to the Herald which shows her tractor bogged during a spreading session.

Beta Fleay from Jingalup was helping her neighbour with some contract spreading work to find the soil was still too wet from the recent rain.

Mrs Fleay said Kojonup had received a lot of rain recently but luckily her other tractor, a John Deere 9530, pulled the bogged tractor out of the muddy field easily.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Kojonup received a total of 125.2mm rainfall in July compared to Katanning which received a total of 73.4mm.

Beta Fleay’s tractor was bogged during spreading.
