Students shine at association comp
The Stingrays have taken out the Upper Great Southern Hockey Association Lower School competition in an exciting finish.
The competition is for Years 3 to 6, with the Stingrays clinching the title with a win in their final game.
The association’s most valuable players for each team were awarded and the overall association awards went to Kandra Pense and Fletcher West.
All coaches, managers, umpires and especially players were thanked for their efforts throughout the season.
In the senior competition, the Edwards Holden men’s and women’s B-grade semifinals will be played this Saturday afternoon.
The competition results changed the make-up of the final four, with Wagin defeating Riffs three goals to two and All Blacks defeating Williams four goals to one.
The women Warriors defeated Williams four goals to nil and Brookton defeated Wagin two goals to nil.
