Katan­ning Wan­der­ers have bro­ken a 31-year pre­mier­ship drought to claim the Up­per Great South­ern Foot­ball League flag over Nar­ro­gin Hawks on Satur­day.

Wan­der­ers’ James Lau­rino was given the South Fre­man­tle Award and Ste­wart won the Ge­orge War­ren Medal for fairest and best.

Todd Hether­ing­ton, Banks, Ryan Pon­tillo and Fitzger­ald were also awarded as the best play­ers from the Wan­der­ers.

For Nar­ro­gin, Jor­dan Heil, Cameron Allison, Matthew Abra­ham and Zac Pethridge won best play­ers awards, as did Kick­ett, who scored seven goals on the day.
