Visit pro­motes cricket to kids

The Perth Scorchers van vis­ited Katan­ning pri­mary schools last week to en­cour­age stu­dents to take up cricket this sum­mer.

Mem­bers of the Big Bash League team vis­ited Katan­ning Pri­mary School and St Pa­trick’s Pri­mary School to pro­mote the MILO in­2CRICKET pro­gram with the help of mas­cot Blaze.

Stu­dents were re­minded they could join the Katan­ning Wan­der­ers Cricket Club this sea­son, with both boys and girls en­cour­aged to sign up.

Club reg­is­tra­tion will be held at the Katan­ning Show on Oc­to­ber 28.

The Big Bash League starts on De­cem­ber 19, with Perth Scorchers’ first match away to the Syd­ney Six­ers at the SCG on De­cem­ber 23.
