Club en­joys suc­cess at na­tional champs

Katan­ning Taek­wondo Club re­turned home af­ter a week­end spent in Bendigo, Vic­to­ria, for the Na­tional Taek­wondo Cham­pi­onships from Oc­to­ber 6-8. The Katan­ning team fin­ished within the top 10 for their grade in Aus­tralia

The team qual­i­fied to com­pete na­tion­ally af­ter their im­pres­sive per­for­mance at the WA State Cham­pi­onships in Perth and have been busy train­ing in be­tween com­pe­ti­tions.

In the Poom­sae cat­e­gory, Imo­gen Van Zyl and Su­sann N’Donga both won a bronze medal.

Imo­gen also took home a sil­ver medal for her per­for­mance in spar­ring.

Be­sides hav­ing one mem­ber with­drawn be­cause of ill­ness, it was a suc­cess­ful week­end of ac­tion for Katan­ning Taek­wondo Club.
