Sea­son tips off with six big bat­tles

The Katan­ning Se­nior Basketball As­so­ci­a­tion sea­son tipped off with games on Mon­day.

Twelve teams took to the court to bat­tle it out, with men and women’s teams show­ing a com­pet­i­tive streak.

In the men’s, Cava­liers beat Flint Trop­ics, 54-31, with best on court go­ing to Troy Flugge.

Wild­cats de­feated Woody Wom­bates, 55-32, and best player was awarded to Kane Shep­hard.

Women’s team Pan­thers lost to Lions 1, 35-18, and Miriam Bolton re­ceived best on court.

The women’s Wild­cats team cel­e­brated a strong win over Ko­jonup, dom­i­nat­ing in the 33-9 win, and best player for the game went to Alethea Pat­ter­son.

The Power Puff Girls lost to Lions 2 with a close score of 39-30.

Kylie Taylor was best on court.

The Cava­liers women’s team de­feated Tigers with an im­pres­sive score of 58-24.

Best on court for the game went to Mikayla Zilm.
