Your guide to An­zac Day ser­vices and com­mem­o­ra­tions in Katan­ning and across the re­gion, as the coun­try pre­pares to re­mem­ber those who served and died in con­flicts world­wide.

Thou­sands are ex­pected to take part in An­zac Day ser­vices on Wed­nes­day.

Here is what some of the lo­cal Shires and RSL sub-branches have planned.


Katan­ning will only be hold­ing a dawn ser­vice this year, with those who wish to take part in the pre-ser­vice marched asked to form at the cor­ner of Clive and Carew streets at 5.45am.

The march will be fol­lowed by a ser­vice at Prosser Park.

Af­ter the ser­vice there will be a break­fast at the Scouts Hall for a gold coin do­na­tion.


Wa­gin will host both a dawn and fam­ily ser­vice.

The dawn ser­vice will be at 6.30am fol­lowed by break­fast in the Wa­gin Me­mo­rial Swimming Pool func­tion room.

The main fam­ily ser­vice will start at 11am with a light lunch pro­vided af­ter­wards in the func­tion room. A march will also take place be­fore the main ser­vice at 10.50am.


A march will be held with assem­bly at 7.30am at the Com­mer­cial Hotel be­fore a 7.45am march-off time. The 8am ser­vice will be held at the RSL Hall and will be fol­lowed by a gun­fire break­fast.

There will also be a mid­morn­ing ser­vice at the Mu­radup Hall at 10am with morn­ing tea pro­vided af­ter­wards.


Gnowangerup will hold a dawn ser­vice at 6am fol­lowed by break­fast at the Me­mo­rial Hall.
