No raining on this parade

Guardian Express - - NEWS -

A LIGHT sprinkling of rain did not deter crowds from last Sunday’s Angove Street Festival, with numbers reaching up to 60,000 by the afternoon.

North Perth Local chairwoman Ida Smithwick said the day was a success.

“There were no dramas; everything went off without a hitch,” Mrs Smithwick said.

“It was a very good day and lots of people said they would come back next year.

“Everyone needs a rest and then we’ll start thinking abut next year’s festival; probably around January or February.”
