Council meetings live

Guardian Express - - NEWS -

CITY of Vincent will be the first WA council to livestream, archive and bookmark its council meetings.

Vincent councillors agreed at their September 19 meeting to archive live-streamed meetings, bookmark items and make them available on the City website as soon as practical.

Mayor Emma Cole said other councils offered a variety of access to audio and visual, but Vincent was the only to offer the “full service”.

The City has live-streamed briefing sessions and council meetings since May 30 this year after approving a cost of $16,000 to upgrade camera equipment in council chambers and provide a two-year service.
