THIEVES took foreign currency and valuables worth $1400 when they burgled a home at Carr Place between 7.30am and 6.45pm on October 4. “There was Australian dollars and British pounds, and an iPad and Kindle taken,” Senior Sergeant Paul Vojkovich said. It is suspected the thieves were able to enter the previously locked home when they found a door key left in a letterbox.
A GROUP of four to five youths tampered with a scooter and stole another of the machines in an underground carpark on Carr Street on October 3. “They used a golf club to reach through the car park’s gate and punch the open button,” Sergeant Colin Sherrit said. The youths were described as being aged 13 to 17.
ELECTRONICS were taken when thieves got into a Wellington Street apartment overnight on October 4. “They took the goods from the bedroom and the living room,” Senior Sergeant Ange Tipping said. Sgt Tipping said the thieves’ entry appeared to have been made easy because there were no suspicious circumstances.
A MAN (37) has been slapped with three charges of indecent assault after allegedly slapping the bottoms of three women in Perth and on the Midland train on September 19. Senior Sergeant Davis said it would be alleged the man entered a make-up shop in the NX100 mall in the Perth CBD, between Hay Street and St Georges Terrace, and walked past a female assistant about 12.15pm that day. “He leant forward and indecently assaulted the victim by using his right hand to slap the victim on the buttock,” Sgt Davis said. The man left after he and the women had a brief conversation. The man then allegedly slapped the buttocks of a woman who was travelling on a train to Midland near the Claisebrook station at 5.51pm. Sgt Davis said it would be alleged the man conducted the assault as he leant on a passenger pole in the train's carriage. “The victim turned around and said 'that's not appropriate',” Sgt Davis said. It is alleged a third woman had her bottom slapped by the man as she left a Midland-bound train at the Maylands train station at 5.58pm. The man will be summonsed to appear at Perth Magistrates Court on October 12.
