New truck for Baysie SES

Guardian Express - - STREET WATCH -

Bayswater SES has recently taken delivery of a new 12 tonne flatbed truck valued at $180,000.

The customised vehicle was designed to provide emergency logistical support and has the grunt required for getting where it’s needed fast. The truck is equipped with a crane to make delivering equipment such as sandbags and tarps much easier during an emergency.

The truck was purchased with funding provided by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services and a grant obtained by the City of Bayswater, through the Local Government Grants Scheme.

Like the volunteers of the SES, the truck will be there to lend a helping hand in an emergency.
