EXAMPLE 12 PlAyinG on A sinGle strinG

Guitar Techniques - - Play: Better -

On paper this lick looks straightforward, but playing on a single string means your hand must move quickly to keep the position shifts in time. Playing on a single string is less efficient than playing across all six, but provides unique phrasing opportunities with slides, slurs and bends.
