Ex­am­ple 4 high­lights how Sal­vador some­times utilises sim­i­lar ideas as a start­ing point for his lines. You will no­tice how this ex­am­ple be­gins with the same idea from Ex 3 over the Cm7 and F7 be­fore an­tic­i­pat­ing the res­o­lu­tion to Bb, com­ing down Bb ma­jor pen­ta­tonic, and clos­ing around Bb ma­jor. It’s also worth not­ing that, while fol­low­ing the changes, the line is en­tirely tonal (aside from the B nat­u­ral lead in).
