Over the Eb­maj7 Wayne slides into an Eb­maj9 swept ar­peg­gio then comes down the Eb ma­jor scale with a chro­matic pass­ing note, an­tic­i­pates the change to Ab7, then an­tic­i­pates the Bb­maj7 with an echo of the open­ing phrase, this time sweep­ing up a Bb­maj9 ar­peg­gio. Over the short Cm II-V- I he out­lines Dm7, G7b9 then re­solves to Cm, then out­lines F7b9 over the Cm7 and F7 chords and an­tic­i­pates the Bb­maj7 res­o­lu­tion, mov­ing into a Bb ma­jor pen­ta­tonic idea with a chro­matic pass­ing note and clos­ing around the Ab7 and G7 arpeg­gios.
