For this speedy II-V- I line in G, Benson moves up Em7 and Cmaj7 arpeg­gios over the Am7, then an­tic­i­pates the change to D7, com­ing down a pretty ‘out’ su­per­im­posed Ebm11 (or Gb­maj9) ar­peg­gio be­fore re­turn­ing to D7 on beat 4 and re­solv­ing to the 3rd (B) and root (G) on the Gmaj7.
