EXAMPLE 2 Big bends

Guitar Techniques - - Play: Rock -

Bends of over a tone in size can sound dramatic, and EC is no stranger to using them. The first bend in this example is a tone-and-a-half (three frets) in size. The really big bend happens in bar five, and is a whopping five fretter! This five-fret bend is helped by the reduced tension of the third string, and the fact it is played so high up the neck. Be sure to warm up before attempting such heroics.
